Syracuse University announces appointment of new University Registrar

The former University Registrar at Southern Connecticut State University been appointed to the same position at Syracuse University, SU announced Monday.
Siham Doughman will oversee the operations of the Office of the Registrar for the university, which handles student records, grading and class scheduling. Doughman will lead changes in initiatives and processes at the university, working closely with departments across campus, per the release.
“By working closely with my new team and the Syracuse community, I hope to streamline processes and identify areas of opportunity in tracking records and registration, while guiding the advising and curriculum development process,” Doughman said in the release.
Doughman has worked at numerous colleges in the United States and the Middle East. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northeastern University and MBA in management information systems from Yarmouk University in Jordan.
Jeffrey M. Stanton, associate provost of academic affairs, said in the release that Doughman has a proven track record and signals a new chapter for the university.
