The Ellicottville Brewing Co. is slated to be one of the over 80 brewers at this weekend's Ballpark Brewfest.

Temperatures are finally cooling down, which means it’s the perfect time to throw on a coat and take advantage of fall. The first weekend in October has fall festivals, craft beer expos and haunted houses, and Pulp has narrowed down the best in our weekend suggestions. Click on the headings to go to the event website.

Ballpark Brewfest

Head to NBT Bank Stadium this weekend for the Ballpark Brewfest 2015. Over 80 breweries from Syracuse and beyond will be there serving up cold, craft beers and concession stands will be open to soak up the alcohol. The event will take place on Saturday from 1-4 p.m. and tickets are available on their website. Of course, you have to be 21 or older to attend, but for those who can general admission tickets cost $35 before the event and $45 dollars the day of.

Trail of Terror

Start October off right this Friday and Saturday by checking out the Trail of Terror in Fulton, New York. A 35-minute drive from Syracuse, the Trail of Terror offers a chilling outdoor trail section and an indoor haunted house section, which you can pay for separately or in a package. The attraction also includes a bonfire, large outdoor movie screen and refreshments for those looking for a calmer but still enjoyable fall evening. Entering the grounds costs just $3, and the trail and the haunted house cost $10 each or $18 together. Tickets are sold at the door and parking is free.

“Inside Out” screening

Orange After Dark will be screening “Inside Out” this Friday in partnership with the Disability Cultural Center. The event is in honor of Disability Awareness Month and the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. It will be completely inclusive for all who wish to attend and the movie will begin at 10 p.m. Originally, the movie was going to be an outdoor screening, but has been moved inside to Gifford Auditorium in Huntington Beard Crouse Hall.

Skaneateles Fall Festival & Art Studio Tour

If you haven’t been to Skaneateles yet, this weekend is the time to go. The Skaneateles Fall Festival will be taking place Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the already picturesque town is sure to look absolutely Insta-worthy with fall decor. You will be able to take tours of local art galleries, take horse and wagon rides, make-your-own scarecrow and try the best food Skaneateles has to offer. Even just relaxing by one of the cleanest lakes in the country is sure take your mind off your classes, so take the drive and soak up the first few days of fall.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is coming to Syracuse this Saturday to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. They have already raised approximately $131,000 of their $172,000 goal, but are still looking for more walkers and volunteers. If you want to help support their cause, register online and join over 1,000 other walkers at Long Branch Park in Liverpool for the three-mile walk. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m.
