A Department of Public Safety notice sent via email to the campus community did not specify on what streets cars were vandalized or broken into.

The Department of Public Safety and Syracuse Police Department are investigating multiple off-campus vandalism cases and car break-ins east of Syracuse University’s campus that occurred “in recent days,” police said.

Alleged suspects have been stealing items out of vehicles, according to a DPS safety notice sent to the campus community via email on Thursday.

The email did not specify on what streets cars were vandalized or broken into.

A notice sent to the campus community about two weeks ago said DPS and city police were investigating several burglaries in neighborhoods north and east of campus. That email did not specify what buildings were broken into.
