Syracuse University’s Department of Public Safety is investigating a reported bias incident in Dineen Hall, according to a Friday evening email.
DPS said, according to “early assessment,” an Israeli flag was removed from a locker and a flag that “in this context can be considered anti-Semitic” was placed on a locker directly across from and facing it.
Dineen Hall houses SU’s College of Law.
“We are working closely with our colleagues in the College of Law to identify the individual or individuals responsible,” DPS Chief and Associate Vice President Craig Stone wrote in the email. “We ask that anyone with information to come forward – either directly or anonymously – to help us bring this matter to a swift resolution.”
