Compete at Just Dance Night, get career development with sushi this week

DanceWorks, Syracuse University’s largest student-run dance organization, is hosting its annual spring showcase this weekend in Goldstein Auditorium. The event will feature 18 choreographed performances.

Gova10 CEO Matt Krieger on @BringHershHome Campaign
Matt Krieger, founder and CEO of Gova10, a Tel Aviv- and Washington, D.C.-based communications firm, will speak about BringHershHome. BringHershHome is an advocacy campaign led by the parents of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, one of the hostages killed in Gaza during the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. Krieger serves as the campaign’s chief communications officer and will discuss his work and its implications. This event is open to the public.

Let’s Be Engaged: Sushi and Success
Join Let’s Be Engaged and Career Services for an afternoon of career tips, networking and sushi. Students can ask career questions, work on their resumes and prepare for interviews while enjoying delicious, free sushi. RSVP here.

Screening: “BORDERLAND | The Line Within”
“BORDERLAND | The Line Within” examines the human cost of immigration through individual stories. This is the final film in the series co-sponsored by Syracuse University’s Department of Languages, Literature, and Linguistics, Department of Film and Media Arts and Department of Television, Radio and Film. After the screening, filmmakers Pamela Yates and Paco de Onís will host a discussion.

When: Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Orange After Dark: Orange After Dark: Just Dance Night
Show off your dance moves with a night of music and movement. Enjoy Just Dance competitions with new hits and old classics. A ticket and a valid SUID are required to attend.

Where: Schine Student Center, Panasci Lounge and Room 304S

DanceWorks Spring Showcase
DanceWorks, SU’s largest student-run dance organization, is hosting its annual spring showcase this weekend. The showcase, titled “Dreamscapes,” will feature 18 dance pieces choreographed and performed by the organization’s members. This event is open to the public.

When: Friday, doors open at 7:15 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m.
Where: Goldstein Auditorium, Schine Student Center
